What is your “Why”
You have to understand your “why” and why you want to escape the rat race. Without a “why,” you don't know why you are doing it in the first place. Is it the job your hate? Maybe it's the low pay? Or is it your boss?
This “why” should be burning a fire in you. A miracle can happen if you have a desire to change something and want something better for yourself. Having a strong desire and motivation will motivate you to get out of the rat race.
Start writing your goals down because it can motivate you to keep moving forward. Pst them somewhere in your home where you can see them, and they'll constantly remind you daily. What are you trying to achieve if you don't have goals anyway?
Stop Buying Unnecessary Things
The more you buy, the more debt you are piling up. Cut your expense by not buying things you don't even need. Instead, buy something that you need, like groceries and medicines. Learn to live below your means and build great money habits. You'll be proud of yourself when you realize there are so many things you don't need in life.
If you reduce your expenses, that money can be put into something else like your investment. That way, you can attain financial freedom.
Increase your Income
You can't escape the rat race if you can't increase your money. To increase your wealth, you need to invest your money so that it can grow and make you more money. You can pick up a new side hustle or learn how to invest your money.
Your money should be put either into a new business you want to start, the stock market, cryptocurrency, or real estate. However, you should know the risk as well. In everything you do, there is always a risk. Your business can fail. The stock market can crash. Real estate can go down in value.
Take Baby Steps
When you are starting a new journey, everything can be overwhelming. You can't escape the rat race in a day or a month. It takes time and consistency to build up to something big.
You can't expect an infant to walk when it's a month old? Or build a house in a day? By taking small actions, they can compound over time. It is going to take a while if you have a full-time job, but it'll be worth it down the road eventually.
