Many people are using social media and SEO to bring in more business. However, not many people are using Pinterest as much. Pinterest is a powerful tool to make money today! If you want to learn how to make money on Pinterest, then keep on reading!
I'm sure you have seen all the influencers and bloggers saying to do this and that to make money or even buy their course too? Like me, you probably think it's too good to be true, and I don't blame you for that because I was skeptical as well.
It can be hard to trust people online, but sometimes you just have to take that leap of faith.
In this post, I just want to share my knowledge and experience with you all. Yes, it's possible to make money on Pinterest. Not only Pinterest but other social media platforms as well. (But in this post I'll focus on Pinterest)
You may think Pinterest is a social media platform but it is actually a search engine. People are always on Pinterest trying to find solutions to their problems. Whatever you search on there, Pinterest will give you a lot of things similar to Google.
So how can you solve people's problems? What can you do to help these people?
To make money you have to be willing to help people. If you help people, the money will come eventually. There are two ways I want to discuss.
1. Use Pinterest Drive Traffic to Blog
One, you can start a blog and drive traffic using Pinterest. In your blog, you can write about your expertise on a subject that helps people such as finance, traveling, studying, life hacks, and so on. You can also recommend products or services that you used to make people's lives easier.
Another cool thing you can do is partner up with companies or brands and write about it on your blog. Brands and companies do offer sponsored posts so you can make money while doing what you love.
Wouldn't you love to get paid to help people and do something that you enjoy?
You may be thinking writing a blog takes too much time and effort. Yes, it does, and I can't argue with that. However, if you do it for the long-term game, it'll be all worth it. People will get to know who you are and you build a brand and reputation for yourself.
When you see influencers on social media with thousands of followers, do you think it was easy to gain all that followers? Probably not. They have to constantly post pictures until the audience knows who they are.
The same goes for a blogger. You have to write and drive traffic to your blog. I recommend having at least 5 amazing posts on your blog and start pinning on Pinterest to get more viewers. Once you have around 30,000-50,000 viewers, you can sign up for ad network. This is one way bloggers make money.
You could also have affiliate links on your blog, and when your readers buy from you, you get a commission.
So use Pinterest to your advantage and drive that traffic to your blog or website to make money.
To get started with Pinterest, you want to sign up with a business account. Once you create an account you can start pinning to drive traffic to your blog.
2. Pin to Get Paid
You can create eye-catching pins on Pinterest and place your affiliate link on your pins. When people click on your pin and buy the product or service, you can earn a commission from it. This one is a little tricky because you don't want to spam your affiliate links all over Pinterest.
You want to be sincere and show people that this product or service helps their problems. You can start a group board with all your favorite things that you love and show your audience pictures or videos of why you love it so much.
Dale, the blogger of Blogging her Way, was able to make $500 per month just by using Pinterest.
When pinning, think about what your audience wants to see. You want to grab your audience's attention by making stunning pins that will prevent them from scrolling any further.
Pretend you are the buyer and why you want to buy this product or service. What made you buy it? If you put yourself in their shoes, you can understand how to create fascinating pins that can sell themselves.
3. Become a Pinterest VA
Some bloggers or business owners don't have time or don't want to waste time managing their Pinterest account or understand how it works. Pinterest is different from other social media due to it being a search engine. You can offer to be a VA for bloggers or businesses and manage their Pinterest accounts.
It is an easy way to make extra money, and you can do it as a side hustle or full-time.
You may be thinking what does a Pinterest VA does right? A Pinterest VA manages people's Pinterest accounts by creating pins, writing descriptions, analyzing the traffic, and so on. But if you continue to learn the strategy and break the code, you can become a successful Pinterest VA.
You can start by offering services at a lower price until you become an expert at them. After you master it, you can start raising the price to however you want.
Everyone starts off somewhere so just be consistent and you'll get there eventually. DON'T GIVE UP!
So How Much Money can You Make on Pinterest?
For everyone who is trying to make money on Pinterest, it varies from person to person. Depending on how well you know Pinterest and what strategies you use, you can earn up to $20, $50, $100, or more.
How awesome would it be if you could earn an extra $100 or $200 per month? Would that help you in paying off your bills or debts?
When I started using Pinterest for the first time, I just thought it was where you get inspiration for home decor, arts and crafts, and outfits ideas. I had no idea that it was a search engine until I read other bloggers were using it for SEO purposes.
When I started this blog, I started to use Pinterest and test some things out to see what works and what didn't. Pinterest has become an amazing platform to use, and I love how easy it is to use.
Similar to how other social media platforms work, Pinterest is used the same way. To monetize your account, you have to post consistently, use keywords in your description, and analyze your data to see if you need to change your strategy.
I hope you have an idea on how to make money on Pinterest and start your exciting journey!
